Having previously prepared Mark's Landcruiser 200 Series for towing his caravan using Redarc's TowPro Elite Brake Controller, Clearview Power-fold Next Gen mirrors and all the necessary tow connections, Mark bought in his latest toy, a Silverado 2500 Z71 for towing readiness.
The Silverado comes standard with an electric brake controller and huge extending wing mirrors so we kept these and supplied and installed:
A 7" HD rear vision monitor securely mounted centrally to the dash (FYI our model has capacity for three camera inputs, not just two)
Wozza (curly cord) socket connection, to connect the caravan camera
12 pin socket wiring upgrade for AES fridge power and Ignition Trigger Wire which switches the fridge on when the vehicle starts and off when the vehicle is off. This is so the fridge doesn’t stay on and flattens the vehicle battery and, being an automatic three way fridge, it will switch to either gas or 240V thereafter.
