We're pretty impressed with the performance and capabilities of the new Victron SuperPack NG's!

Available in 12V 100Ah or 200Ah and 24V 100Ah, the SuperPack NG Lithium (LiFePO4) includes a Battery Management System (BMS) and layers of protection for efficient and dependable operation in the harshest conditions.

The SuperPack NG has discharge currents up to 2C, which means the battery can safely release an electrical current up to twice its total capacity at all times, handling loads that would typically require larger or additional units.

For individuals traveling to colder regions, the pack includes self-heating capabilities to function in environments where a typical lithium battery fails, allowing for charging at temperatures as low as -30 °C for dependable performance.

There's a nifty bi-directional e-switch which protects against overcharging and excessive discharging by controlling both current paths independently. This maintains energy flow instead of entering shutdown.

With SafetyShield+ protection onboard, the battery cleverly self-manages through constant current, voltage, cell balance, and temperature checks, sending alerts via External Feedback Signals (EFS) and live display in the VictronConnect app or a home screen widget. This prevents issues and extends battery life.

The battery status can be checked at a glance with two integrated LED's showing Bluetooth connectivity, warnings, alarms, and firmware update notifications instantly without tools or having to open the app.

If placing your rig in to storage, the SuperPack NG has an on/off switch to power it down completely, allowing storage for up to six months without a recharge. Power up instantly when needed.

The SuperPack NG is super compact at under 190mm high and easily fits into existing battery spaces, under seats or in small compartments. The SuperPack NG provides additional protection for enclosed installations in battery compartments, making compliance for Australian Standards easier with its threaded safety vent ready to be connected to extraction piping and vented to the outside.

Australia can dish out some challenging conditions but the SuperPack NG has an IP65 rating, safe LiFePO4 chemistry, redundancy protection, and low state of charge signalling, so its ideal and reliable in demanding situations.

The SuperPack NG features an integrated automatic recovery system that enables multiple restart attempts following short-circuit or over-current incidents.

When used as intended, the battery has an impressive 15-year design life to support uninterrupted function and is a part of Victron's modular Blue Power range.

The VictronConnect app connects to your SuperPack NG and other Victron devices in your system to monitor parameters such as state of charge and battery temperature, live and with a 30-day history. Also from the app, firmware can be upgraded and settings set for alarms, discharge limits, heating modes, and External Feedback Signals.

See how we've been using the Victron SuperPack NG in Mark's Super Duty F350 Truck and in an Iveco Daily 4x4 Dual Battery System.
